Internal alterations and house extension to a sandstone semi-detached house in Cambuslang.
Our clients kitchen / dining area is well used by the family and is the hub of the house, however their current space is very confined, making it both awkward to cook and dine in. Poor connectivity between the kitchen and an adjacent lounge, prevents any interaction between these spaces.
The proposal removes a wall between the kitchen and lounge opening up the space to become a larger kitchen / dining room. A new retaining wall located along the southern boundary allows enough room to build a new zinc clad extension containing a new family room connecting back to the kitchen and outward to the garden through large glazed doors. The front of the extension contains a new rear entrance and utility space.
