As part of modernising their 1970’s Rutherglen home, our client appointed us as Architect to come up with ideas for a renewed dining / kitchen area to the rear of their house.
The existing small windows in the house don’t make the most of the incredible North View over Glasgow City and restrict natural light to a dated kitchen area.
Our solution was to form large glazed openings in both the rear external wall and between the dining and hall allowing views and light to flood deep into the house. A new balcony area adjacent to the rear wall opening allows the dining area to extend outside, frameless glass balustrade allows uninterrupted views across the garden and beyond.
