We were asked to make improvements to a terraced Victorian house in Rutherglen.
The rear area of the house had under gone various changes over the years resulting in a poorly planned layout, a lack of kitchen / dining space and unnecessary raised areas of flooring in the kitchen and shower room.
The raised flooring was removed, the shower room was relocated beneath the stairs with this former room now becoming part of the new dining area and also forming the new entrance from the hall. A fitted bench allows the dining table to sit closer to the adjacent wall provides additional kitchen space for ovens and a further bank of larder units on the opposing wall maximising storage.
The resulting enlarged kitchen / diner has been greatly simplified and provides our client a much improved space they can enjoy as a family.
